Micro environmental factors must influence individual plant survivability
Soil column moisture AND degree of exposure??? We have had a couple of instances where the same species of plants have had individual plants wither and die (I am assuming due to loss of soil moisture) while other plants of the same species near by, have survived .... I am assuming that the degree of individual exposure to sunlight is also a contributing factor to these death rates .... shade may play an important role in promoting plant survival!

Wildlife in dangerous transit
I was saddened to learn of the (probable) death of a kangaroo transiting Edgars Creek. I observed the creature on Christmas Day, 2025. Not long after, I was informed that just such an animal had been struck and killed on the Ring Road (where the animal would have become completely disorientated and in its agitation have inadvertently left out in front of a vehicle. More work is required to plan how the reintegration of wildlife along the creek may be organized in such a fashi
