We have again organised a great speaker for our next general meeting:
Professor Ian Rutherfurd with be presenting on “From Degradation to (some) Restoration: The journey of Victorian waterways”
Professorial Fellow, School of Geography, Earth and Atmospheric Science, The University of Melbourne. Research Director, Alluvium Consulting Pty Ltd.
"Anglers know their rivers well and closely observe their condition. In this talk Ian will review the impact that Europeans have had on Victorian waterways, and the remarkable efforts to restore our streams over the last 25 years or so. How are we going, and are there signs of progress? "
7 pm: Pre-meeting, greet and stickybeak at our NFA(Vic) volunteer-run fish hatchery for early-comers.
